Little Seed

Little seed, little seed,

What, oh what, do you need?

“I will need some sowing,

Before I start my growing.

I’ll also need some rich dark soil,

For that is where my roots will toil.

Then I’ll need some sunlight,

When I burst up into sight.

I will need some water too,

Every day, the summer through.

You can add some compost,

That’s the treat I like the most.

Last, I’ll need some weeding,

So I’ll have some space for feeding.

And when the summer gets real hot,

You can eat all the fruit I’ve got.”

Thank you, thank you Little Seed,

I will get you all you need.
