Caramel, Comfort and Joy

Velvety flour, a handful of yeast

And buttery, brown sugar

Have worked their giddy magic yet again

As rolls drip caramel all over the counter,

The aroma of Christmas morning

Past and present

Waiting to melt in our mouths

As we celebrate

This Season of Comfort and Joy.

My mouth is watering! I can see you making them with love (and anticipation) in your warm kitchen with all of the yummy smells wafting through the house. Mmmmmm. Thank you for teaching me how to make these magical treats and for the years we did so together. I LOVE those times. Those sweet memories (and sweet treats) bring comfort and joy to my heart. Hugs and love my friend. Merry Christmas!

    • Sweet memories indeed, dear friend. People probably wouldn’t believe us if we admitted to how many we ate. Hugs right back at ya. So grateful we get to keep memories- we can move them with us and pull them out and enjoy them anytime.
