For All

For All

For all who lie wide-awake

In the despair of darkness

That settles

Within and without,

He was born at night.

For all who toil burden-sore

Uphill in the mid-day sun,

He gave Himself up

And died

In the heat of the day.

For all who rise early,

Tear-stained, but ever-eager for hope,

He emerged from the grave

With the first rays of morning-light.

  1. Beautiful! It’s true, isn’t it? He came for every battle-weary soldier. No matter our struggle, no matter where or when our deepest fears attack us, He reaches in with His nail-scarred hands and pulls us out. Hallelujah, Save us!
