“Beacon” Reads

If you’re battling through rough seas, these reads are a beacon of truth and hope in the storm.  Refreshingly honest, these authors think and feel deeply, and express their wondering and their finding so beautifully.  If I could, I’d sit down with them in my sunny kitchen, brew a pot of coffee, and pick their brains awhile.    And come to think of it, by reading the books over multiple cups of coffee, I suppose that’s what I did.

  1. Great book choices! I concur completely!! I’m working my way, at a snail’s pace, through One Thousand Gifts–trying to truly see the blessings bestowed by the Father. It is too easy for me to ask, receive, and move on with not so much as a second glance in my rear view mirror let alone a nod of thanks. I’m definitely working on that. And Phillip Yancey and Brennan Manning–extraordinary men of God. Great reading list. I knew I liked you for good reason!!
